REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Corporate Customer Service
LOCATION: Burford Administration Office + Paris Customer Service

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Represent the County of Brant as a welcoming and knowledgeable ambassador, assisting customers in accessing a wide range of municipal services
  • Serve as Live-Chat Agent for the County of Brant’s website
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, live chat and in person and redirecting complex inquiries to the appropriate department for technical expertise 
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed including handling incoming and outgoing mail, data entry, filing and document sorting
  • Maintain call logs through our Corporate Customer Service portal
  • Operate a point-of-sale terminal to process payments (cash, cheque, credit, and debit), post transactions to the accounting system, and perform end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Strong customer service abilities, with experience assisting clients in person, by phone, email and online chat dealing with in-person, phone, email and online chat platform
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Comfortable with basic cash-handling procedures
  • Strong abilities with MS Office, including outlook, word, PowerPoint, excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working independently with a high level of professionalism and effectively managing pressure in challenging situations
  • Demonstrate tact and diplomacy, maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion
  • Ability to travel between County locations as required
Education: Enrollment in a post-secondary Business or Municipal Administration program would be considered an asset. 

Duration: May to September (Monday to Friday | 8:30am to 4:30pm or 10:00am to 6:00pm)
Hourly Rate:  $22.54 (2025)

You must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and returning to school in the fall of 2026 to qualify for this position.
