Minimum Qualifications:
  • Post secondary school education in Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 - 2 years of administrative support experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Smartsheet and ability to learn other software
  • Strong attention to detail with expertise in timely and accurate data entry, records management, and providing high-quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated team environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Ability to identify issues, problem solve, and escalate appropriately
  • Proven initiative, strong work ethic and ability to maintain positive working relationships
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Assets:
  • Previous experience with operations administration such as creating work orders, processing permits and invoices, facilitating billing and records management in a municipal or utility setting
  • GIS knowledge, ticket/work order software experience such as MESH, Cityview, City Wide
  • Familiarity with engineered drawings and experience with records retention practices
  • Strong customer service and de-escalation skills
Duties:
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Department, including Roads, Environmental Services, Engineering and Infrastructure, Infrastructure and Asset Management, and Fleet.
  • Act as a liaison between the County of Brant, residents, and thirdparty contractors to ensure strong customer service, accurate records, and provide administrative support.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the water account reconciliation process with internal stakeholders and third-party contractors.
  • Support administrative tasks including updating and circulating attendance records, contact lists, oncall schedules, electronic filing, and data entry.
  • Respond to and track public inquiries and complaints while delivering professional customer service.
  • Create work orders and schedule customer appointments to address service concerns.
  • Prepare weekly water samples.
  • Process water meter purchase requests and coordinate pickup and payment, track invoices, and prepare accounts receivable requisitions
  • Perform records and document management to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Attend onsite meetings and prepare agendas, correspondence, and minutes.
  • Draft, review, print, and distribute notices and letters.
  • Process and coordinate Service Disruption Notices, Public Works Permits, and Rebate programs.
  • Provide backup support to other Operations Administration staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $61,971  - $72,491 as of April 1, 2026 (Grade 3)                             35 hours per week
