REPORTS TO: Environmental Services Superintendent/Lead Hand
LOCATION: Initial Placement - Gilbert Water Plant / Mobile

Job Duties:
  • To help with the upkeep of grounds, buildings, and other assets in the County of Brant. 
  • Provide good customer service as needed.
  • Cleaning and painting at water facilities, painting of fire hydrants.
  • Landscape maintenance including grass cutting/trimming.
  • Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiar with operation of hand tools.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver's licence (G or G2) and access to a personal vehicle in the course of employment.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job duties.
  • Self starter with a good work ethic.
  • Ability to undertake outdoor and physical work in all weather conditions.
  • Painting and landscaping skills would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in a municipal government setting would be considered an asset.
Conditions of Employment:
  • The successful candidate must submit a driver's abstract satisfactory to the County prior to start date. 
  • CSA approved work boots must be personally supplied by the successful candidate.
Duration: May to August (40 hours/week)
Hourly Rate: $19.35 (2025)

You must be enrolled in a post-secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for this position with the exception of completing a final co-op term.
